Dr. Clayton Scanlon is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in the medical and surgical care of the Retina. A Saint Louis native, Dr. Scanlon earned his Medical Degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine before returning home for his Ophthalmology specialty training at SLU. He then completed a two-year surgical Retinal fellowship at the Vitreoretinal Foundation/Eye Specialty Group in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Scanlon also practices at Retina Associates of St. Louis and has been providing Retina care for STL Vision since 2014. Dr. Scanlon provides care for all diseases of the retina including diabetic bleeding, macular degeneration, and retinal detachments. He is known for his harmonica playing skills and has even entertained at Ophthalmology meetings!
