Benefits of Vision Insurance
Vision insurance typically provides a wellness benefit for healthy eye exams, which may include routine eye care, prescription eyewear and contact lenses, and other vision services at a reduced cost. It will not cover exams or treatment for other medical issues concerning your eyes or vision. For example, vision insurance will not cover vision loss, floaters, dry eyes, allergies, infections, eye disease, or eye exams for complications from diabetes. Additionally, some vision insurance plans do not cover contact lens fittings or yearly contact lens evaluations.
What is the difference between a vision plan exam and a medical eye exam? When you visit STL Vision and intend to use your Vision Plan Insurance you will be scheduled with our optometrist for a routine Vision Plan Exam.
